The Wireless Kit

The transmitter is fitted inside a weatherproof housing close to the camera, this enables you to achieve reliable transmission ranges of up to 30m in typical conditions. If you require a longer transmission range an extension lead can be added between the wireless transmitter and camera effectively taking the camera further away but keeping the transmitter within range of the receiver back at the TV!

Any wireless kit requires an outside power source to the camera and transmitter. Our wireless kits use 12vDC and are supplied with a 12v mains power adaptor (which looks very similar to a mobile phone charger) and a 10m DC power cable. The adaptor needs to be plugged into a mains power socket typically situated in a shed or garage. However, the kit can also be powered by a 12v leisure battery (not supplied). Lead extensions and solar panel options are available.

The Receiver plugs into your TV via a spare Scart input, or you can plug directly into the Phono / RCA (red,white,yellow) inputs. Pick up your TV remote control and simply select the auxillary AV channel that you have used and the camera should now be live on your TV. Sit back and wait for the show to start!

This ready assembled Ultra High Resolution Wildlife Camera has Vari-focal 4-9mm lens. Adjusting the lens can be done with zoom & focus controls on back of the camera. A cable managed bracket is supplied with this camera.

Would you like to connect your camera kit to a computer?

This kit can be connected straight to your computer if you have the appropriate connections. Look for a round yellow socket (the same as on your TV) on the back of your PC. If you have one of these connectors on your PC it will most likely be on the graphics card, a TV card or a dedicated capture card. If you dont have this connection or you plan to use a laptop we would recommend using one of our Video to USB adaptors. All you need is a spare USB socket and an audio jack input socket (most computers will have these). Software is supplied to get you started (we have XP/Vista and Apple Mac versions available) but once connected you can pretty much use any piece of software that can accept a live video input (eg. most webcam software). We also recommend I-catcher Wildlife which has full motion detection capabilities and much more.
